Keyboard Shortcuts #1  – Opening Tabs in Google Chrome

I’m opening, closing, and scrolling through tabs in Google Chrome all day long. These keyboard short cuts help limit the time I spend using my mouse.

*These are the Mac shortcuts, for Windows see this post.

Open a new tab: Command + T

I use this shortcut when I want to start a new google search or when I quickly want to open a new page. Simply use the shortcut and start typing in the address bar.

Close a tab/window: Command + W

Perfect for getting rid of unused tabs or for quickly closing your browser before your boss walks in!

Scroll through tabs: Option + Command + Arrow

This puppy is key!! Scrolling through tabs without having to use a mouse makes my life a whole lot easier.
