Eric Holzworth had the rare, special ability to make everyone and everything around him a little bit better. He was a father, husband, businessman, Pitt Football Captain, Coach, friend, counselor, teammate, golfer, reformed first class wingman, and so many other things to those who were lucky enough to have known him.
In the Fall of 2017, Eric Holzworth was taken from us in a tragic swimming accident at his family vacation home near Jacksonville, Florida. His loss was deeply felt by the thousands of lives he touched and made a little bit better during his own life. Eric, ‘Big E’, ‘Holz’ or whichever name you knew him by, had a passion for living life to the fullest. Eric’s enduring spirit lives on in his wife, Heather, and their beautiful children: Ben, Juliette, and Reis as well as with his many friends and associates.
Eric’s infectious personality and enthusiasm to live life to the fullest were a extraordinary combination which we attempt to honor with the “18 Holz Golf Classic” We hope you will join us in the effort toward making a difference in the lives of college bound athletes in the Atlanta and Pittsburgh areas, in the memory of Eric.
